Customize your experience with Glue AI

You can set your model preferences and AI Rules (currently in the Labs section of your workspace settings) to customize how Glue AI interacts with you.

Glue AI is powered by several LLMs - and we're testing new models to support!

The models currently supported in Glue are:

The default setting in Glue is Automatic. With "Auto", Glue AI chooses the best model currently available, and will upgrade as new models become available. You can update the model you use on individual threads in the Glue AI tab.

Users can indicate their default preferred model by navigating to their Preferences and selecting a particular model:

What's supported by Glue AI

• Glue AI can search the web using Perplexity.

• Glue AI can render tables of data in its responses.

• Glue AI can analyze file attachments and uses them as additional context to answer user questions.

Here are the file types supported by Glue AI's file search:

.eml, .html, .json, .md, .msg, .rst, .rtf, .txt, .xml, .png, .webp, .jpg, .jpeg, .bmp, .heic, .csv, .doc, .docx, .epub, .odt, .pdf, .ppt, .pptx, .tsv, .xlsx

We don't support most file links yet for Glue AI file search — you will need to upload the actual file. We're working on this and will have more improvements coming soon!

What's not supported yet

We're making improvements to Glue AI every day, but there are still a few things that are not yet supported. Since Glue AI is an interface that leverages other LLM models, any limitations that these LLMs have will also be limitations of Glue AI.

Glue AI can search and generate text like an LLM, but it is not a workflow builder or an agent. Glue AI is not able to take action on behalf of a user or send messages elsewhere in Glue. It can't invite people to your workspace, create a group, send a message in another thread, or remind you to follow up on something.

Glue AI is also unable to tell you information about your workspace or group settings, membership, or admins.

Glue AI cannot search for and return images that have been shared in Glue.

Glue AI cannot access links that are behind a login, like LinkedIn. *The exception is GDrive links because we have an official integration where you can authorize access to your GDrive account.

Other considerations about how Glue AI works

• Glue AI will search across messages sent within the last month by default. If you need it to search a wider timeframe, you will need to specify in your prompt how far back you want it to search.

• GlueAI can access previous attachments sent in a thread, up to 20 attachments. So in a thread with many attachments, GlueAI can only see the 20 most recent ones when users ask specific questions about files. To ensure that Glue AI is answering a question about the specific file you have in mind, it's best to attach it directly in your prompt.
