Every Glue user's inbox is personalized to them and includes:
Important threads
Recently active groups
Recently active direct messages
Every user only has one Inbox, even if you belong to multiple workspaces.
Mentioned directly in a thread message - you or the group @ mentioned
Replied to the thread
Started the thread
Selected to Follow the thread in your inbox
Only your important threads show up in your inbox. If you want to see a thread in your inbox that doesn't meet this criteria, you should follow the thread.
Your important threads show up at the top of your inbox so you can keep track of active conversations. You have full control over which threads appear in your inbox and how you organize it.
Users can take the following actions on any thread in their inbox to stay focused and informed.
These thread actions only affect your inbox — e.g. archiving a thread will not archive it for everyone on the thread, it will only archive from your inbox.
All of these actions can be taken by hovering over the thread name in the Inbox side bar. On the righthand side a check mark will appear next to the thread name, hover over that to see the full thread action menu. If you hover to the left side of the thread name, near the thread icon, a checkbox will appear that lets you select multiple threads.
Removing a thread from your inbox (by archiving, unfollowing or setting a reminder) is not the same as deleting a thread. These actions only remove the thread from your inbox. The thread still exists in Glue and can be accessed if you need it. You can still find that thread in any group it was sent to, via search, or by going to "See all" threads in your inbox. And the thread will reappear in your inbox if a new message is sent and the thread fits the "important to you" criteria.
Some inbox actions can also be used on Groups and DMs. This functionality works in the same way that it does on a thread.
