<summary>Step 2: Add the Sentry app to a group* or thread</summary>

* Add Sentry to a group in order to send messages to a group chat or to create a thread in a group. Navigate to the group and then choose **Apps** from the menu to open the Apps tab of the group settings. From there **Add** Sentry from the list.

* Add Sentry to a thread in order to send messages to that existing thread. Navigate to the the thread and then choose **Thread Settings** from the menu. With the settings open, choose the **Apps** tab, then **Add** Sentry from the list.

* If you have not yet added the Glue app for Sentry, you'll be prompted to add it at this time.

<summary>Step 3: Create an alert in Sentry</summary>

* In Sentry, navigate to **Alerts** and click "Create Alert Rule".
* Choose what you want to be alerted about and then click "Set Conditions".

* On the conditions screen under "THEN perform these actions", select Glue.

* On the newly create Glue item, Click Settings

* Choose the Glue action you want to perform and then choose the Glue group or thread that you want to send the alert to. You can only select Groups or Threads that the Sentry app has been added to in Glue.

*\*Note that to add an app to a group, you must be a group admin or workspace admin. Anyone can add an app to a thread.*
